Rita Dauchot is an essentially self-taught artist, born in Ghent and now living in Namur, Belgium.

Curious and passionate, she tried various techniques but the one that suits her the best is watercolor, which fully allows her to share her sensitivity. Her favorite themes are portraits, flowers and scenes inspired by Buddhism. Themes change, the homage to life and beauty of human beings and nature remains the guiding thread of her achievements: her corner of eternity ...

Each of the subjects in her paintings has to touch her at first by the emotion it conveys, so allowing her to tell its story and hers at the same time.
