ARTIST BIO

Born in Colombia, adopted Chilean nationality. I have also lived in USA, Norway, and Brazil.

Since I can remember I have been expressing myself through paper, colour, twigs, dry flowers, sewing, stitching, cooking, cake decorating, ceramics, and lately watercolours.

As a clinical psychologist I´ve had contact with deep pain and despair and also, I have experienced the healing effect of transforming any material, creating anything or something.

Many years ago, teaching preschoolers and seeing my children wonder and discovering life made me aware of the pleasures that come with exploration.

Being in connection with senses and emotions is crucial for me.

Watercolour; that is the conversation between paper, water, pigments and emotions make me want to explore and keep on expressing my experience of being alive.

My current aim is to capture the colours and atmosphere of the diverse and inspiring australian lanscape.

My work may be seen at @acuarela.cgarcia
