I was bourn in Saint-Petersburg, Russia. Saint Petersburg is city of visual art, music and science. When you live in such environment you just have to become an artist or musician or scientist.
First, I studied in a children art school and after finished an Art Institute. After that, I worked as a graphic designer and fashion designer.
I arrived in Australia 25 years ago. Here I study computer graphic design and continue to draw and paint. After many years I return to making etching, which I enjoy very much. I double my enjoyment by choosing Australian animalises as I love them too.
Wonder and feelings of happiness will capture you when you look at my. My works are designed to uplift and inspire your life. My flying children are make you want to take a leap into the painting space, on its glorious morning and together with children get those strawberries from the fields.
I want to show people how fantastic it would be if one day we saw a flocks of children flying by our windows for their breakfast joy to the nearest strawberry field or running on the water along the river.
My paintings invite you on a journey to the unknown, very far from our normal, day-to-day life.
My etching are about the wildlife of Australia. It is a fantastic theme for any artist of any era. I love all these unusual animals & birds, which cannot be found elsewhere in the world, but only in Australia. Australia has more than 140 species of marsupials, including kangaroos, wallabies, koalas, and wombats. They are all so cute! Once, I even had a chance to hold a koala. I will never forget that experience. Never. I love to hear kookaburras and flying foxes and I am never angry at possums for loud noises in the middle of the night right above my head in the attic of my house. It is just Australia in all its glory and I take it all in my heart. After many years of living here, I still think that I am living in paradise and I consider myself extremely lucky to be able to depict them. |
