Theme for the Australian Watercolour Muster - 2019: ‘Paint Your Own Backyard’
Painting Size Must Be: ½ sheet = 56 x 38cm watercolour Paper
recommend 300gsm …..... any brand watercolour paper.
the size has to be 56 x 38cm to fit in the cardboard framing that we have inherited from Italy - to make sure that the selected (30) Artists from Australia can also showcase their Work at FabrianoInAcquarello - Italy 2020, as these are the type of frames they use there.
The Artist may submit any number of works for consideration for acceptance into the 'Muster', each submission attracting a Registration / Entry fee as shown under the Fees and Commissions Section.
The Organisers, whose decision is final, will accept up to four (4) works from any one artist to hang in the Australian Watercolour Muster - Digital Online Gallery from the 30th September to the 9th November 2019.
Forty (40) x Artists from all Categories will be notified of selection for the honour of being Hung and Auctioned on the 9th November 2019 at the Australian Watercolour Muster Gala Cocktail Party and Festival Auction – Emporium Hotel South Bank – Brisbane Australia. Works to be shipped by each artist nominated - physically for this event – un-framed and flat-packed for freight.
The organisers will frame and hang in the FabrianoInAcquarello style recycled cardboard frames with an optional Perspex protective sheet.
Submitted work must be 56 x 38 cm on any one side of the painting - Portrait or Landscape.
Watercolour Work can be on any brand watercolour paper, the organisers recommend 300gsm weight.
Works selected for physical Exhibition during the Gala Cocktail Party and Auction November 2019 must be dry and ready for framing and hanging by the Organisers, this will be in the FabrianoInAcquarello style recycled cardboard frames with an optional Perspex protective sheet.
They must be shipped 'flat' to ensure they do not curl in the recycled cardboard framing.
All works must be clearly labelled on the back or underside with the artist’s name, title of work and the catalogue price clearly discernible.
International Artists , however - will be requested not to include their Pricing on any shipping documents unless they are registered for Customs duties.
Works submitted by a Judge, guest or invited artist will not be eligible for competition. Such works will be for exhibition and sale only.
Individual artists may at the discretion of the Organisers be invited to supply more than the maximum number of works.
